Mayfield logged an assist, three blocked shots, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 6-2 win over the Avalanche. Mayfield picked up his first point of the campaign when he earned a secondary helper on Anders Lee's first-period tally. Through three games, Mayfield has added five shots on net, five blocks and a plus-4 rating. He's a reliable third-pairing defenseman, but the 32-year-old is purely a shutdown option, so he's unlikely to score enough for fantasy purposes.
