Doc Rivers again shot down the Blake Griffin trade rumors during a recent interview.September 07, 2016 | 09:38 AM

"We knew none of [the trade rumors were] true. We figured that was one of you guys starting these rumors here in Boston." said Rivers. "It happens, unfortunately. Blake and [Chris Paul] are free agents [after this season]. Just like last year Oklahoma [City] had to deal with that, now it's our turn." Rivers has time and again said that he has absolutely no desire to unload Griffin or Paul, but that won't stop the rumors from persisting. For what it's worth, there's reportedly a strong feeling from Griffin's camp that he'll re-sign with the Clippers once he opts out of his contract this summer.
