Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Feels good heading into campSeptember 30, 2024 | 01:05 PM
Irving said Monday that his surgically repaired left hand is doing "much better" ahead of training camp, Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site reports. Irving said he had trouble winding down his activity following the Mavericks' loss to the Celtics in the NBA Finals. He went right back to work in competitive settings, which is where he broke his left hand. However, Irving said it was a blessing in disguise because it allowed him to rest and recover for the remainder of the offseason. He was shut down for eight weeks following his surgery in mid-July but has been ramping up his activity and remains on track for Opening Night. Source: CBS Sports
